Quick Commission

Keilton+autani Pro only

Quick Commission is available only in the Keilton+autani Pro app (iPad). It is not available in the standard Keilton+autani app, and it requires the RP1 commissioning tool and the FL30 flashlight.

Overview

Quick Commission uses FlashNet technology to commission and group large numbers of sensor-equipped fixtures quickly. Instead of adding fixtures one at a time, you point the FL30 flashlight at each light's sensor and the app automatically adds it to the group you're building — greatly reducing commissioning time on large projects such as warehouses.

Compared to standard commissioning with the mobile app, this method delivers faster commissioning, fewer errors, and a more streamlined workflow.

Requirements

Quick Commission works only when all of the following are true:

Why a photo sensor is required

FlashNet works by having the sensor detect the FL30's flashing light through its photocell. Fixtures without a photo sensor cannot be quick-commissioned.

Tools at a glance

  • RP1 — commissioning tool with multiple Bluetooth modules; during Quick Commission it acts as a signal booster that the app connects to automatically. Module one also includes a Disable Bluetooth button (see Step 4).
  • FL30 — rechargeable flashlight with a flashing (strobe) mode; aiming it at a sensor enables that light's radio so the app can add it.

Before You Begin

  • Create your zone for the project.
  • Confirm target fixtures are on firmware 240819 or later.
  • Have the RP1 and a charged FL30 on hand.

Quick Commission Workflow

1. Open Quick Commission

In the Keilton+autani Pro app, tap the Quick Commission icon.

2. Add your groups

On the Quick Commission page, tap Add a new group and create one group per area. (Example: a warehouse with three aisles → three groups, such as A1, A2, and A3.)

3. Start discovery

Tap Start. The app begins discovering devices and automatically finds and connects to the RP1's signal booster.

4. Disable factory-setting radios

So the app only adds the lights you deliberately activate with the FL30, disable the Bluetooth radios of any sensors still in factory settings. You can do this two ways:

  • In the app — tap the Disable BLE button inside Quick Commissioning (available after you tap Start).
  • With the RP1 — press the Disable Bluetooth button on module one.

5. Select a group and begin commissioning

  1. Tap Select group and choose the group you want to add lights to (e.g., A1).
  2. Tap Start commission.

6. Add lights with the FL30

  1. Put the FL30 in flashing mode by clicking its power button twice in quick succession.
  2. Point it at the sensor of each light you want in the current group.
  3. The app automatically adds that light to the group. Repeat for every light in the area.

If a light won't add

If the app fails to add a light after several tries, point the FL30 (in flashing mode) at that sensor for about 6 seconds to reset it to factory settings, then let the app try again.

7. Stop and move to the next group

Tap Stop commission when the group's lights are all added. Move to the next area, select the next group, and repeat Steps 5–6 until every group is complete.

8. Apply templates

Once all lights in all areas are added, go to the Groups page and tap the template icon for each group to apply a preset template of sensor settings, scenes, and schedules to that group.
