Glossary of Terms
Common terms used throughout the Keilton+autani app and this guide.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Auto Mode | Automatic operation where lights respond to occupancy and daylight based on their sensor settings (vs. a manual level). |
| Bluetooth Mesh | The self-forming wireless network the devices use to communicate. No gateway or internet is required for local control. |
| Bridge (CR04 / BG01) | A device that connects the Keilton system to external building-automation or RS-485 systems. |
| Circadian Rhythm | Automatic color-temperature/level changes over the day to support occupant well-being. |
| Commissioning | The process of adding, naming, grouping, and configuring devices to set up a working lighting-control system. |
| Daylight Harvesting | Dimming electric light in response to available daylight to save energy while maintaining a target light level. |
| Dim Level | The reduced light level a fixture holds after the first time delay (T1) elapses with no motion. |
| FlashNet | The technology behind Quick Commission — the FL30 flashlight activates a fixture's photo sensor so the app can add it. |
| Force Sync | A manual command (More page) that pushes zone/commissioning data to the cloud. |
| Group | A collection of lights controlled together. |
| Linkage | Neighboring groups holding a reduced "linkage" level when an adjacent group is active (e.g., for corridors/egress). |
| LLLC | Luminaire-Level Lighting Control — sensors/controllers integrated at each fixture. |
| Manual OFF Override | A setting controlling whether a manual OFF is held until changed, or returns to auto after a delay. |
| NLC | Networked Lighting Control. |
| Photocell | The light sensor used for daylight harvesting and photocell (on/off by ambient light) control. |
| Plug Load Controller | A controllable receptacle that appears on the Lights page and can be grouped/linked with lights. |
| PWM Frequency | Pulse-width-modulation dimming frequency, tuned via the Spiral Engineering app. |
| QR Code (Admin vs User) | Encrypted per-zone access credential. Admin QR grants full configuration rights; User QR grants control only. |
| Rated Power | A light's wattage, entered so the app can estimate energy use. |
| Scene | A saved preset of light levels/colors activated with one tap. |
| Sensor-Ready Controller | A controller prepared to accept an external sensor. |
| Signal Booster (RP0) | A device that extends mesh coverage; must be associated with the zone being commissioned. |
| T1 / T2 (Time Delays) | T1 = delay before dimming to the reduced level after no motion; T2 = delay before turning fully off. |
| Template | A reusable set of light/sensor settings applied to many fixtures at once. |
| Trim (High / Low-End / Top / Bottom) | Maximum/minimum output limits set for a fixture (some are tuned in the Spiral Engineering app). |
| Zone | The fundamental commissioning boundary — a set of devices managed together (max ~100 devices). |
