Spiral Engineering — Overview

Spiral Engineering is available only on iOS and requires admin (management) privilege, granted by scanning a zone QR code (see below).

What it is

Spiral Engineering is the LiteTrace engineering / service app. It shares several core functions with the standard Keilton+autani app — My Zones, Light Info, Nearby Lights, and Force Sync (which work the same way; see the main guide) — and adds two engineering capabilities:

  • Light Upgrade — perform over-the-air (OTA) firmware upgrades on lights, individually or across a whole firmware group (mesh upgrade). Use it when new features are released or bugs are fixed.
  • Parameter Setting — professional tuning of Top Trim, Low-end Trim, PWM Frequency, Bottom Trim, and Transition time.

The app does not collect personal data. Grant network, Bluetooth, and other permissions when prompted.

Gaining Management Privilege (scan QR code)

Spiral Engineering requires admin privileges to perform its operations. To gain access:

  1. Select My Zones.
  2. Select the icon to scan a QR code.
  3. Scan the QR code with your camera, or select Album to choose a saved QR-code image from your phone.

Firmware Upgrade Notifications

The app notifies you when new firmware is available:

  • Remind me later — the notification reappears the next time you open the app.
  • Got it, do not remind me again — the notification will not appear again.
