Cautions & Safety
Please review these cautions before commissioning or servicing a Keilton+autani system.
Electrical Safety
- Only qualified electricians should install or modify electrical connections.
- Disconnect power before installing or servicing devices.
- Follow all local electrical codes and regulations.
1. Use only one mobile device during commissioning
Do not use more than one mobile device during the commissioning process. Using multiple devices at once may cause unexpected results such as data corruption or duplicate light addresses.
2. Sync commissioning data before sharing a QR code
Zone access is shared by sharing its QR code — but only after the commissioning data has synced to the cloud.
- The app syncs automatically in the background whenever a zone is updated (this requires an internet connection via Wi-Fi or cellular data).
- If you had a good connection during commissioning, you can share the QR code as soon as commissioning is complete.
- If your connection was poor or offline, you'll see an error prompt on the More page. You can keep commissioning, but you must Force Sync (More page) once you have a good connection.
Do not share before syncing
Do not share a zone's QR code with others until the data has successfully synced to the cloud — otherwise they may receive incomplete or outdated commissioning data. Tip: on a poor connection, turn off Wi-Fi (or use Airplane Mode) to commission, then sync later when a good connection is available.
3. Keep firmware up to date
Continuous product improvements may require a firmware update to keep devices compatible with others in a zone. If you experience connectivity or feature issues, use the Spiral Engineering app (iOS) to check for and apply firmware updates.
See Spiral Engineering — Firmware Upgrade.
